'Hot Coffee' settlement: Get up to $35 free

Remember GTA:SA's 'hot coffee' mod and the lawsuit that followed? Rockstar and Take Two are ready to provide compensation for those 'outraged' by the sex in the game, because it was rated M and not AO and consumers were not given enough warning of the adult-only content. Details are on the site, but you can get up to $35.00 if you have the store receipt. If you have neither original disc or purchase details, you can still get $5.00. Take this number and multiply it by the number of people living in America (offer is US only btw)...yeah, that's about how much TT and Rockstar are going to lose at least.

I can't get over how dumb this whole thing is. You're getting compensation for being 'outraged' by hot coffee even though wasn't available right at the start and you had to go out of your way and apply some mods before you got to see any of it--which means you already probably knew what was coming and you wanted to see it anyway. Why would you be offended? This whole thing is stupid. Mass Effect had a better sex scene and it was rated M and JACK THOMPSON THOUGHT IT WAS OKAY. Hot Coffee didn't even have any nudity.

Anyway, this is dumb and don't cash in on this, please. At the very least, use the cash you get for your GTAIV preorder.

Fallout 3 new screens

Source: CVG

[insert bitching about Oblivion engine]

Now that that's out of the way, it's actually rather neat-looking. I absolutely love that last screen (with the shacks). The other screens look sort of lacking in the environment department however. Details plz. And lol at the gore.

New Bionic Commando screens, still no release date

Capcom is doing pretty great this year, except for a few glaring mistakes (namely Monster Hunter 3 and Megaman Legends for mobile). Bionic Commando just looks fantastic. And it looks even better in motion (I posted links to videos earlier, you might wanna take a look at that. No, you have to Just use the search function on the top). And no, I'm not sure if you can change the guy's hair. It's concept art; they were probably choosing the best among those and went with just one. Frankly, I think dreads are the worst out of all those, but that can be easily overlooked when you start swinging and shooting. I also hope you can change the hairstyle.

There's a few more screenshots and concept art here and here.

Still no release date.

New Ghostbusters screens, hands-on from IGN

Today's update will be in the style of Masahiro Sakurai just for shits and giggles.

What a creepy-looking graveyard!

Hey! Slimer! Don't play with food!

That sure is a lot of books...

Oh, no! He got me!

Don't cross the streams!

...oh you know what this sucks, here's the rest of the new screens (from IGN):

World of Warcraft's new advertisements almost makes me want to play

Sweet Jesus, if it wasn't common knowledge that WoW is an MMORPG and MMORPG = guaranteed hours of GRINDAN (plus half of the userbase consists of 13-year-olds), I would have created an account the instant I saw the Mr. T ad. This only proves that Mr. T in advertising = guaranteed sales. Believe. See the ads by clicking on the image. Or direct download HD versions here:

Oh and William Shatner is there too for the Trekkies.

Bionic Commando gameplay videos

Again, from Gametrailers.com:
Swinging
Wire mechanics (a.k.a. the things you can do with the wire)
Gunplay
Chain reaction gameplay

The swinging looks a lot like how Spiderman does it, but how else would it look like? Also, you can't just swing anywhere like in Spiderman games, you'd have to look for a structure to hook your wire onto. And that's what's great--you can't just save yourself from falling from a height if there isn't anything solid to grab on.

It's also cool how you can use your bionic arm as a secondary weapon. It seems you can hold down enemies while dealing with others at the same time (in the "wire mechanics" video), as well as grab and throw items. I hope you can whip enemies with an extended wire though, in case it gets too crowded and your one hand with one gun isn't enough.

Speaking of guns, the gunplay/fighting looks pretty awesome. Being able to launch enemy units upwards and leaving them vulnerable to your brutal (and possibly stylish) assault is always fun. Although I'm not sure how aiming works, whether it's manual or auto lock-on. Manual aiming is a chore especially when there's lots of enemies and enemy fire, so I hope there's some sort of auto-lock feature.

Bionic Commando remake screens

Last October 16 Capcom announced that a revival of the old swing-and-shoot classic Bionic Commando is receiving a huge makeover, for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC. The new game, still called Bionic Commando, will not only let players swing with the bionic arm grappling-hook, but also rappel down steep surfaces and kill enemies. The story will also undergo a bit of change, from a simple rescue adventure to one with a darker, edgier tone, and the first few screens shown attest to this.

At this point I couldn't really care less for the story really; all I know is the original Bionic Commando was fun, and I'm positive the remake will be too.

...j/k real screenshots below ;_;

And of course, guns:
