Namco Bandai's One Piece Unlimited Adventure Announced

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. recently announced in a press release that they are making what is possibly the first-ever non-fighting game adaptation of the hit anime series One Piece, called One Piece Unlimited Adventure. Debuting on the Nintendo Wii system, the game will feature an all-new story, lots of action (or so they claim), and the ability to choose which character the player wishes to complete the quest with. Each character, like in the anime, will have their own unique style, including fighting moves.

Speaking of fighting, there will also be a VS mode, in which you can unlock 40 (!) more characters, in addition to the eight available by default. I'm hoping Bon Clay somehow makes his way in there somehow, but given that this is to be released for American audiences, I highly doubt it. Especially since it's rated "Teen" by the ESRB. Oh well, let's just stick with Zoro, er, Zolo.
