The Contra franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and what better way to do so than to release an all-new Contra game that closely mimics the style of the original?
This new Contra game features the same gameplay as the original (even the original characters are back!) so you know what to expect: Jump, run, shoot aliens, collect powerups, repeat. But there's a new accessory--the grappling hook--that lets you climb up to certain areas that otherwise can't be reached normally.
And of course, there's a 2-player co-op mode.
The game is scheduled for release on November 13 for the Nintendo DS.
But I wonder, how will the touch screen be used? Not saying that every DS game must make use of the touch screen (we don't need it for every game), but the 20th anniversary pack supposedly comes with a special stylus...
